Showerheads can be found in a variety of commercial facilities. Today's plumbing engineers can encounter a wide array of showerheads. One of the first steps in any project is to identify the codes and standards that will govern these fixtures. In building plumbing design, there often are multiple jurisdictional agencies involved. The local building code, plumbing code, local sewer department requirements, health department regulations, and others need to be considered when designing a building plumbing system. Be sure to have a copy of the applicable regulations, as well as an understanding of any other jurisdictional requirements that may exist. Further, don't forget that your building's fixtures must comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act.

Efficient showerheads have improved grreatly over the last few years and are now available in many styles including massage features. Water-efficient showerheads reduce hot water requirements and, consequently, reduce the cost of heating the water.

Remember tho coordinate all work early in the project. In plumbing systems, even minor details, if missed, can result in serious problems. Since plumbing work is installed prior to building occupancy, the importance of correct drawings cannot be overstated. Successful installation relies on detailed planning.
